Love, again?

I just fell in love for the 3rd time in my life. 1st with Mike, 2nd with Ava and 3rd with Tina Steinberg Designs. If you haven't heard of my 3rd love yet, which I'm sure most of you haven't, she makes fabulous pieces out of your loved ones fingerprints. I need to just bite the bullet and order a piece with my sweet little babyloves fingerprint on it... perhaps after the holidays. Or if a special someone is reading this *ahem, Mike* maybe I'll receive a piece as a birthday gift?

A day of firsts...

Today is the day. Today is the day that I will post my first blog post. It's always weird to me to start blogging, but here I go... happy December 17th, everyone! One week ago today (December 10) was Ava's first birthday. I can't believe I have a ginormous one year old, I don't know where her first year went... (if you find it, will you send it back to me?) We were supposed to have a huge birthday bash on the 11th, but we were hit with a monstrous snow storm (18") and sadly very few people could make it. That didn't stop us. We had tons of food so we invited our neighbors over and let our kiddo indulge in her very own chocolate cake. Even though many friends and family couldn't make it to her party and I was bummed since I had been planning for months, there was nothing we could do about it - Mother Nature was in control. But, I want to thank you all anyway, Ava's love bucket is overflowing and has been since she was born and for that I am thankful. Okay, enough of this awkward first post...on to a few pictures!
